Rule 24
Petition for Detention
(1) As far as possible, the following things should be clearly disclosed in the application form for detainee identification given in accordance with sub-section (2) of section 7 of the Act-
(a) Who or when has the prisoner been detained and under what circumstances? (b) Has the prisoner been deprived of food and water? What has been the result of that? (2) The application form under sub-rule (1) must be stamped by the prisoner. However, if there is a reason for the prisoner not being able to stamp it, any other person can submit the application form on his behalf.
